Moorvue Farm & Rural Centre is a facility in West Cornwall offering day care provision and respite holiday accommodation for adults with special needs. We provide support, activities and encouragement in a relaxed rural environment.

We have ben running since 2001 and our friendly team are dedicated to ensuring the best possible experience for clients, staff and volunteers and we are proud to be accredited by the Department of Adult Social Care/Cornwall County Council.

Accreditation

Moorvue has been awarded a band B as an Approved Providers by the Department of Adult Social Care/Cornwall County Council (O=poor A=excellent). The whole team are very proud of this and continually work hard to maintain this high standard and to improve where possible. We regularly monitor and evaluate our service to ensure the quality of the care.

Staffing

All staff and volunteers at Moorvue are DBS checked, suitably qualified and undertake regular training to stay current in their skills and practices. The team have a wide range of experience and are dedicated to help make Moorvue the best experience possible for all our clients, staff and volunteers. Staffing to client ratios are ALWAYS appropriate to the client needs.

The Site

The facilites are surrounded by a variety of hard and soft landscaping on a 60 acre farm.

We are open 4 days a week Tuesday to Friday.

Activities

Animal care: We have a small selection of animals such as budgies, chinchillas, hamster, turtles, Gecko, alpacas, Rhea, tortoises

Arts and crafts: colouring, painting, mosaics, tissue paper art seasonal art.
Other Activities: bingo is a favourite, quiz, music, jigsaws, board games, conversation and fun.
